The Student For Christ’s Participation during the OLFU Open House (Dec2-3, 2009)
SFC OLFU chapter, together with other organizations, had a unique participation during the Our Lady of Fatima University’s Open House. We encouraged graduating students from different schools to enroll into our beloved school and to join our organization for their spiritual growth after.
SFC, as a whole, took active steps in encouraging the very hopeful graduating students to develop or to revive their faith in God by giving out copies of the inspirational ‘Book of Hope,’ Bible verses to keep and live by each day, and by allowing them to write their personal worries, problems, and concerns through our ‘Prayer Request’ forms. We also gave them membership forms which they filled up for our organization’s record.
The SFC members present during the said activity have witnessed the joy and excitement of the students as they first experienced taking new steps in fulfilling their dreams fitted to their own will and capabilities.
We also saw the commitment of other organizations in introducing their own roles and functions as well as their enthusiasm in making the students feel more motivated in their pursuit of the most important key to success. Due to the large number of students who attended the activity; we all felt so exhausted, yet we still managed to sustain our energy so as to encourage them to be good students and have better grades in school.
